POZ is pleased to announce our fourth annual fundraiser for AIDS Walk New York, Love Out Loud, is Wednesday May 13 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at Prohibition in Manhattan. Our musical hosts are once again Tremors led by John Kouri. Participation will include Ilene Kristen and Kevin Spirtas and many other local celebrities from ABC-TV and CBS-TV. Past events have included most notably, Thorsten Kaye, Marj Dusay the accomplished actress who lost her son, Randall, to AIDS in 1993; Mark Dobies, who appeared in Larry Kramer’s The Normal Heart; as well as tireless devotees to many charities, good hearted Melissa Claire Egan, Alicia Minshew, Billy Miller, BethAnn Bonner, Kristen Alden, and John-Paul Lavoisier of One Life to Live; that Optimum guy, Matt Walton; As the World Turns ’ Luke, Van Hansis, as well as Jack Mackenroth from Project Runway with his good friend Kevin Christiana. As you know, Law & Order: SVU’s Christopher Meloni is always on hand to help us with fund raising via eBay auctions. If not physically there, Chris is with us in spirit.
We’re overwhelmed by the support coming from the entertainment industry in our efforts to help those with HIV/AIDS. This will be our biggest and brightest event yet.
