Today, POZ and Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) announced that GMHC’s Treatment Issues will appear in POZ magazine in 2008. The award-winning magazine for people living with and those affected by HIV/AIDS will include the four- to eight-page GMHC quarterly in five of its issues. Treatment Issues will provide treatment information above and beyond the extensive treatment coverage offered in every issue of POZ, on poz.com, and on its web-based sister publication, AIDSmeds.com. It will also provide analysis of timely HIV prevention and policy issues. The addition of GMHC’s quarterly to POZ and AIDSmeds’ existing treatment content offers readers an unparalleled breadth of treatment information.

The first edition of Treatment Issues in POZ appears as eight pages in the April issue. The remaining four issues are scheduled to appear in the July/August, September, October and December issues. The GMHC quarterly’s content will also be available online at poz.com and at gmhc.org. GMHC has been publishing Treatment Issues since 1987.

Marjorie J. Hill, PhD, chief executive officer of GMHC says, “We are very excited about this new joint venture with POZ. For years, we have each worked to increase the health, independence, and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS and their affected communities. This partnership allows us to benefit from each other’s experience and to expand the reach and impact of each other’s work.”

Regan Hofmann, editor-in-chief of POZ says, “The joining of our two formidable brands will benefit both of our readerships exponentially. I am so pleased to be able to offer our readers additional information about treatment—both in print and online. We repeatedly hear from readers that we are their most trusted source of treatment information, and to be able to expand our volume of treatment coverage will further impact their good health.”
